Barns

All barns in the United States appear to be an identical shade of brick-red.

I wonder why that is.

Rene says:That's easy: someone bought a large consignment of that colour in order to paint, say, a lot of ships and the order was cancelled so he flogged the lot as a cut-price bargain. The Americans don't mind looking the same as their neighbour. After the war, in Frankfurt, when there were many US soldiers families, all their flats looked absolutely identical inside, in decor, furniture, curtains, lamps. Boring, but there!
